Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 October 2026
Tiny Map is operated by Tiny Prints in Singapore. We collect as little as we need to run your account and payments, we don't sell personal data, and we don't use advertising trackers. This policy follows Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
What we collect
- From Google sign-in: your name, email address and profile picture. We never see your Google password.
- Account records: when you joined and last signed in, your plan, and your subscription status.
- Download records: for free monthly maps and Single print purchases, the map area (its coordinates), the date, and the Stripe checkout reference. This is how we honour the free-map allowance and re-downloads.
- Saved projects: if you save a project to your account, its area and settings.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, but never your card details.
- Server logs: our host keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and the request made) to keep the service secure and working. If the app hits an error in your browser, it sends us the error message, the page and your browser type so we can fix it.
GPS track files (GPX/KML) you add to a model are read in your browser and are not uploaded to us.
Why we use it
- To sign you in, apply your plan, and give you the downloads you're entitled to.
- To take payments, manage subscriptions and trials, and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
- To answer support requests and send essential account emails (for example, a price change or trial ending).
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse of free allowances, and fix problems.
Who processes it for us
- Google: sign-in.
- Stripe: payments, invoices and the billing portal.
- Railway: hosting and the database that holds account records.
While you use the map, your browser also contacts open map services directly: OpenFreeMap (map tiles), OpenStreetMap's Nominatim (place search) and public Overpass servers (map data). They receive the area you're looking at and your IP address, under their own privacy policies. Elevation and Overture data are fetched by our server and involve no personal data. These providers may process data outside Singapore; we only use providers that protect it to a comparable standard.
Cookies and local storage
We use one essential sign-in cookie (and its security companions) to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember preferences such as the map style. No analytics or advertising cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages to process payments and prevent fraud.
How long we keep it
Account and download records are kept while your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account we remove them, except billing records Stripe and we must keep for tax and accounting law (typically up to 5 years).
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account, and withdraw consent to our use of it (which means closing the account). Email [email protected] from the address you sign in with. We'll reply within 30 days. You can also cancel a subscription yourself at any time from Manage billing.
Children
Tiny Map is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change; the date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be emailed to subscribers.
